Bio: Christiane Snyder.
You can never go
home again:
Born with an inherent
love of travel in Winchester, ON to parents whose ancestors have made
Canada home since the early 1700’s. One of many who can never go home
again because it doesn’t exist anymore. First home was Aultsville – now
one of the “Lost Villages.” www.lostvillages.ca
Spent a few years in Berwick, ON before the family landed in big-city
Ottawa to pursue father’s new career in real estate.
Left
home young and headed for BC, married (and divorced 25 years later)
Montana sweetheart and raised two glorious, talented and lovely children (Chantelle
and Micah) while being active in the community and enjoying all the
beautiful splendour of the province. Lived on the coast in Vancouver,
Victoria and on Saltspring Island when the children were little, moving to
the Hughes Range of the Rockies in Kimberley, BC then to the foothills of
the Valhalla Mountains not far from Nelson, BC. The last five years were
spent along Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, BC before moving back to childhood
area – with a brief detour of a year in China. www.mapleleafschools.com
Found out the
world is round and if you keep going that you end up where you started
from even if you can never really go home again but, you can fall in love
with a place and make it your home. Merrickville is that place for me.
Continuing a lifetime
of successfully serving clients and solving problems. Pursuing a new
career in real estate.
